Book presentation “Susan Wayland – Erotic Latex Fetish Glamour” Part 2/2: Boutique Bizarre

To follow up our exquisite and successful presentation of our book with photographic art “Susan Wayland – Erotic Latex Fetish Glamour” during the Leipzig Book Fair, we had another huge event scheduled. One of the largest erotica stores in Germany, Boutique Bizarre in Hamburg, expressed a lot of interest in the photographic creations of Norman Richter featuring yours truly as model. They invited us to feature our photographic art and present our book at their magnificent multi-storey shop premises.

We, me in particular for reasons that will become evident in a second, were shocked and delighted! It was an offer nobody could pass on, but the real shock and awe hit us when we became aware how thrilled and enthusiastic the team at Boutique Bizarre was with our latex oriented photography. We decided that we will put together a happening that will be the talk of the town for weeks to come.

At the break of June, Norman Richter, the crew from Horgenbooks and my humble self trailed down to Hamburg, to the notorious St. Pauli district, and to the Reeperbahn, where the Boutique Bizarre is located. If there is someone who has no idea what the store is for, or rather if you do not know me at all, here is a hint: They are a boutique which has everything erotica, starting with undergarments, corsets, jewelry, magazines, toys, leather, boots and straps, down to my favorite latex items, and I mean latex everything. If you can think of it, they have it. It is a rather roomy store, spanning over several floors, with a staff that is professional to the max, very friendly, attentive and helpful, knowledgeable to put any erotica aficionado at ease, you know, my kind of people. Needless to say that I am a regular there, that I frequently try out everything they have on stock, that I enjoy to shop there and that several of my favorite pieces were purchased right there on the spot. :-) Susan Wayland together with her fans at Boutique Bizarre

Where were we? Oh, right, I was talking about the book presentation and the photo vernissage. I had no idea what we were in for, because I did hear rumors that plenty of press and public were eager to participate and were interested to see what we were all about. So, yes, I did have a bout or two with stage jitters, and some pesky butterflies were constantly fluttering all around my stomach, not making the preparations any easier.

They have prepared a very nice niche for me, where I was able to feel comfortable and at ease. See, they had an exquisite latex couch with additional latex cushions ready, just for me. It not only fitted the theme perfectly, it made me feel right at home. This was so cool! The walls were plastered with a “best of” selection of my current latex related modeling, but there was also the possibility to snoop into and also purchase the book “Susan Wayland – Erotic Latex Fetish Glamour”, autographs and all the works included, of course.

Our good friend, Dr. Paul Sernine, who already wrote the foreword for our book, did the introductory speech. He is a true expert on all things related to our modest creative achievements and accomplishments and was a logical and perfect choice. We were and are very thankful for all his support and endorsements. The whole affair was an incredible and satisfying experience. I had the chance to talk to enthusiasts and fans, but also to casual visitors and curious inquirers alike. Norman and I were given the opportunity to hear wishes and ideas, get accolades and praise, receive some constructive criticism, but also to indulge in casual talk and chatter. The personal feedback we received was invaluable and has affirmed our passion for our work.

The very next day for instance, the Hamburger Morgenpost, or MoPo as it is called by the locals, ran a huge article about the whole affair and a very favorable at that!

Not only that, they put it up on their website as well; it is still there, go have a look!

The evening was a raging success! It was incredible fun and an exhilarating event. I would like to thank all the nice visitors and guests and particularly hail the wonderful team of Boutique Bizarre, who made all this possible. :-)
