I think that every woman has her own "must haves" thinking about beauty. Over the years I have worked with many make-up artists and I received a couple of advices from the hairdressers, too. Some looks that were created weren't that valuable though, but still, some of them indeed were useful. So here are some
tricks and instructions, that were helpful for me.
Full Lashes
I adore pretty full and curved eye lashes. It doesn't matter which way I put on the rest of the make up, accentuated lashes always create a great expressions and let you shine. You gain the best result if you use your mascara on the upper and the lower lashes.
Unfortunately most women only put it on the upper eyelid, and this optically moves the whole eye area. For the everyday and fake-eyelashes look I use my eyelash curler and mascara. If you use an eyelash curler please buy a good one, it is important that your lashes don't break. You have bought a good mascara if it doesn't make your lashes to stiff, because otherwise you run the risk of breaking them, too. During shootings and on special events I am wearing fake lashes. They are available as a band of lashes or seperately. Down to my whim I use the one or the other.
Shining Eyes
A bright or also a dark kohl miner let your eyes shine and create a great accent.
Shimmer
Powder and foundation with shimmering chemically structured pigments (mostly available in gold, apricot and rose) let you look fresh and relaxed.
You can use this powder on your cleavage and your shoulders, too – it's a perfect finish and looks great especially when you use it in the evening. If you use a shimmering cream on your legs they will look shiny, velvety and even.
Well-Manicured Nails
Well-manicured nails and nice hands are an absolute must-have for a well-groomed appearance. I do not only speak to the women but also to the men. Hand lotion, a nail file and nail polish have to be stored in my bathroom. It doesn't always have to be the loud red and wicked black nails, though. If you ask me, also a discreet beige or just a clear polish look great.
But anyhow: if the polish starts to crumble, please remove it. Crumbled nail polish doesn't look well-manicured at all.
Sensual Lips
Lips are sensual, beautiful and represent femininity more than anything else. In order to keep my lips soft and even my lip balm always has to be in my bag. I prefer lip gloss instead of a lipstick and I always have different colours within reach. You never know…
Zebra Alarm
Zebra look? Well, that's what I call it, when you see more than 2 cm of grown again uncoloured hair. You definately have a so called "bad hair day" then. If we girls colour or tint our hair, then we should take care that this new colorful look also works after a couple of weeks. Therefore you should put on your schedule every six weeks to re-colour your hair. I admit that this isn't always easy to do, but in the meantime you can help yourself by wearing accessories as a cap or by pinning up your hair or other helpful things that distract from the problem.
